Nick Chown and Mark Fowles have teamed up to provide an independent specialist public sector risk management service. Both are well known within the field and between them have a wealth of unique knowledge and experience. Nick is an award winning risk management specialist, a Fellow of the Institute if Risk Management, Registered Risk Practitioner, and Chartered Insurance Practitioner. Most recently, Nick’s Metropolitan Police Risk Management Team was awarded the European Risk Management Team of the Year at the StrategicRisk Risk Management awards 2008. Nick has embedded an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) approach within four, successively larger and more complex, public service organisations. He also majors on business continuity management, project risk management, and insurance management. Mark, Head of the Insurance Department at Veitch Penny, has been responsible for the development of an innovative insurance law practice proud to serve its many public sector clients. Under Mark’s leadership, VPInsurance has expanded and diversified, with a particular focus on the management of legal risks and complex claims negotiations. He has a wealth of experience and understanding of the firm’s clients, their ethos and operations.
