VP insurance is
delighted to launch the new look Ogden
Tables to the website.
The 6th
edition of the Ogden tables incorporates up-to-date population projections taking account
of data following the latest national census. Most notably this edition of the tables
introduces a significant change to
the approach to contingencies allowing for a more scientific approach to the
calculation of loss of earnings than has previously been the case by taking into
account disability, employment status and educational attainment. The effect of this is that some claims for loss of
earnings are likely to come down.
Under the umbrella of
'legal resources' we
have now added a further stage to the calculation to take account of this new approach.
