Veitch Penny Solicitors, proud supporters of the Chartered Insurance Institute, is delighted to have sponsored Exeter’s 89th Annual Dinner. The Veitch Penny sponsored event, attended by the Lord Mayor Marcel Choules, saw the culmination of the Institutes’ and individual’s achievements for the proceeding 12 months. One of the highlights of the occasion was the presentation of several awards given in recognition for outstanding achievements. The Veitch Penny sponsored, ‘David Grimley – Young Professional Award’, was presented to Jessica Kingsland of Fidelis insurance. The award is given to a young and promising talent within the Insurance Industry and is in remembrance of the late Claims Manager of St Pauls, now Travelers, who was a great man of probity and technical ability and a good friend to Veitch Penny. Mark Fowles, Senior Partner at Veitch Penny said; “David was known through the industry for both his expertise and his commitment to training and supporting young professionals and it is very appropriate therefore for this award to perpetuate his name” Veitch Penny, an established personal injury leader in the southwest, has a long standing relationship with the local chapter of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), with the firm regularly offering training to members and Partner, Darren Salter, a past President. Veitch Penny is delighted to have been able to sponsor of the key note date in 2011 for the Exeter CII, which managed to raise over £1,500 for President Jonathan Cox’s two charities Help for Heroes and the Insurance charities. The Insurance Charities gives vital financial and practical support to past and present employees of the insurance industry, and their dependent relatives, who are suffering financial hardship. Veitch Penny is proud to be associated with the Chartered Insurance Institute; the premier professional body for the global insurance and financial services industry, and looks to continue its support of the insurance industry in the future. Jonathan Cox from Paveys group – Insurance & Financial services, ends his presidency this year, with Russell Langham, Fidelius Insurance Services, continuing the hard work & fundraising activities of his processors.
