Mock Trials

Veitch Penny have recognised the need within the industry to not only help witnesses better prepare for court appearances, but also to ensure that the trainer is sufficiently equipped to give appropriate guidance and enable their staff members to perform at their best on the day.

This style of seminar is designed to give the attendees an opportunity to see the culmination of the litigation process, highlighting the importance of witness statements, documents and preparation for witnesses when defending claims.

A mock trial replicates a real trial in which claimant and defence teams attempt to convince the judge to rule in their favour. The legal teams are made up of experienced barristers and solicitors who will wear wigs and gowns, witnesses will be played by actors, and the session will be conducted as though it is a real trial. Attendees will be given a comprehensive ‘trial bundle’, containing all documentary evidence used in the trial, supplementary documents and other useful information.

The Veitch Penny mock trials are relevant to anyone involved in the handling of a claim. However training sessions can be personalised to you and your teams’ particular needs. Previous trials have been Employers and Occupiers Liability scenarios and we are now taking bookings for an NHS tailored trial.
